Today, of all days, I really need your help! I have been working hard on this doctorate degree. The University did not approve my dissertation application because of fear of what is happening in the news, despite the fact my topic is not at all controversial in any way.
Today my program chair has a meeting with the committee to clarify the purpose of my topic. I pray you please help her to find the right words and open up the minds of the committee chair. I have worked so hard over the last two years, I have uprooted my life, job, and home to dedicate my time to this rigorous program. Please don’t let all of my time, research and hard work go to waste. I have been diligent and stayed in faith even during the moments I wanted to give up. I have sacrificed so much to get a NO. Please let today be a YES day.

You Word tells me to enjoy life with the man whom I love. We know that the days of our lives are fleeting. I pray you are as loving as you are loyal. I pray you are as handsome as you are honest. I pray you have an unbreakable bond with God along with your family. I pray that you're intelligent enough to teach me how to learn more, be more and see more, while not being too stubborn to listen and learn from me as well. I pray when I ask you things you do them out of love, and I pray when you're mad at me you won't do things out of spite. I pray your actions are so powerful that I never have to underestimate your words. I pray you have a sense of humour that can move mountains on days where I can't even move out of bed.
