I pray you are as loving as you are loyal. I pray you are as handsome as you are honest. I pray you have an unbreakable bond with God along with your family. I pray that you're intelligent enough to teach me how to learn more, be more and see more, while not being too stubborn to listen and learn from me as well. I pray when I ask you things you do them out of love, and I pray when you're mad at me you won't do things out of spite. I pray your actions are so powerful that I never have to underestimate your words. I pray you have a sense of humour that can move mountains on days where I can't even move out of bed. I pray you protect my heart as if it were your own. I pray you understand and accept me as if I were a spitting image of you. I pray you love me enough that you'll never turn your back on me because the bond we have is way more important than any disagreement, confrontation or misunderstanding. I pray our love is living proof that true love does exist. Praying for my son to get the job he wants, and for me to get the job I need. Praying for improved finances so I can take care of myself and my family.
My ex was so abusive and manipulative and a year later I still find myself so angry, hurt, reminiscing, then angry again. We prayed together every night - for it to end the way it did. He has the nerve to hate me for leaving him, when he can't see how he was hurting me. I hate him for being so broken, and trying to destroy me in the process. It's taking a long time to get back to being OK after I put him out. I wake up often just not wanting to be here. Not wanting to ache like this anymore. He made promises; for forever, for happiness, for peace, and he broke every single one. I feel so broken. I want real love. Slow love. Sustainable love. The person that God has for me. The kind of love that I give, with the communication, consistency, effort, respect, honesty... What I want isn't unattainable. It shouldn't be unattainable. It's not like I'm praying for him to be a millionaire, to look like a model... I refuse to settle again.
I want to be sure that when God brings this person into my life that it is the right person, because somehow I ended up with the wrong one last time. Not that God couldn't fix him, fix the situation... but that would be a miracle and I'm not sure that is what God has for me. I think that's the problem. I hold on because God CAN fix him. God CAN make this better. If he's not for me, please REMOVE him from me, my thoughts, my heart, my desire for the future we envisioned together. Please God keep my daughter safe as my mother watches her as me and my fiancé go out to eat for our anniversary. Keep her safe and let her be good God.
