Today, I find myself in a situation with a toxic, manipulative, and seductive older man, from whom I have become financially dependent and who has been temporarily providing me with a place to stay. Since my bladder issues impacted my ability to earn an income back in 2020, I have struggled to find God's guidance on how to become self-sufficient, particularly given my mental health challenges and the difficult living situation with my sister. God, are you guiding me to find a safe and peaceful place to live nearby? I ask for your mercy on opening a door until I can support myself and cover my bills. Jerome is also bad to be around. He wants intercourse from me. Because I'm at home with him, he may not adjust the music at a decent hour or make accommodations for us to have peace because I won't have intercourse with him. He can't accept helping me financially, being in his home and me not being sexual with him. This is troublesome. GOD HELP ME.

Recently, I’ve been reflecting on my cherished memories of my late cousin Jason and thinking about my past. After celebrating my birthday, I've been feeling a strong desire to break free from the complicated situation I’ve had with an older man for too long. I currently lack a safe place to call home and have struggled to find work due to mental health challenges, recovery from a bladder condition, and unreliable transportation. As I recall my experiences over the years, I realize that my life is not where I want it to be—it should be better. I am actively pursuing disability benefits, including working with a lawyer, as I need sufficient income to support myself. Once I secure stable housing and an address, I hope to connect with a local church community. I long for healthy friendships and connections that feel like family. I wish to break free emotionally and financially from this older man, gathering the strength to heal. If I encounter pain, I will seek God’s help and focus on my own well-being. Lately, I've been feeling overwhelmed with stress, so I’m turning to prayer for guidance. I really need God's help to improve my relationship with Jerome. I’ve been compromising my well-being to maintain peace and because he has been financially supporting me. It's tough for me to change while I continue living with him, and I recognize that I need to set boundaries. I must learn to say no and accept that he may react negatively as I enforce these necessary boundaries for both of our sakes until I can move out. I also need God's guidance to come to terms with the fact that Jerome may not truly care about me. It’s important for me to stop expecting him to show me the care and respect that I deserve. I've been living with him to escape the toxic environment I face with my sister, where our mother attempts to mediate our conflicts. Currently, I’m applying for disability support and housing through an organization, and I find myself without an income or a car. I am praying for God to take the lead in my life and guide me toward a resolution for my situation. I need to adhere to Biblical principles and uphold high standards for myself, both in my relationship with Jerome and in my interactions with others, regardless of my financial needs or housing situation.Anonymous
