Make Perfect in Love Prayer

Dear God,

The all-sufficient One, what a magnificent day to celebrate the union of this man and this woman. - Daniel and I, may we walk before you all their days in the light of life. Perfect our love for one another and for you. Truly, Father God, we are able to love because you first loved us. As we love one another, may your presence abide with them and perfect your love in them. As they obey your word, bind them together in unity and as one flesh. As we live in love, may they live in you and you in them.

Prayer for Love That Covers

Dear God,

Thank you for this happy day (7th July, within the next 3 - 4 years) which this couple - Daniel and I, will remember and cherish for years to come. We pray that, more than anything, this man and woman will love each other deeply, for love covers a multitude of sins. May their love for each other be sealed in their hearts and give them the grace to forgive each other when they sin against each other and when they fail each other. Fill them with an attitude of serving one another so that you are glorified by their sweet spirits.

To love each other until the end of time and always put God first at the base of our relationship and future marriage.

Strong Marriage Prayer

Dear God,

Thank you that you are our rock and fortress, we can always find refuge in you. We pray that the bride - me and groom - Daniel would be strengthened to love each other in good times and in bad. Your word says that, even though we walk through the darkest valley, we need fear no evil, for you are with us; your rod and your staff, they comfort us. Give them the strength to trust you during the joyful times and during the difficult times. May you fill them with eternal comfort and good hope through grace.

Wedding Prayer for when Daniel and I get married on 7th July (Within the next 3 - 4 years)

We are gathered here in the presence of God, family, and friends to unite _____ and _____ in holy matrimony. Marriage is an honorable estate, and is therefore not to be entered into lightly, but reverently, advisedly, soberly, and with God’s blessing. Today, they will receive God’s greatest gift; another person to share with, grow with, change with, be joyful with, and to stand with as one when trials and tribulations enter their lives. It is fitting, therefore, that we should on this occasion begin by asking for God’s blessing on this marriage. Let us pray.

Dear God,

We gather to celebrate your gift of love, and its presence among us. We rejoice that these two people have chosen to commit themselves to a life of loving faithfulness to one another. We praise you, Lord, for the ways you have touched our lives with loving relationships such as mine and Daniel's love, and we give thanks for the special love and friendship you have put in their hearts. Renew within us an affectionate and loving spirit.

Married life is a mutual enrichment, a mingling of two lives, which diminishes neither, but enhances both through a give and take between two personalities. As much as you have both consented to be together in the union of matrimony and you have pledged your faith each to the other in the presence of God, your family, and friends, may you continue in this manner as long as you both shall live.
