When I go back to my sister's apartment, I often end up spending a long time in the bathroom at night because of my overactive bladder. Sharing the bathroom with my sister means that either she or my mom could be occupying it. In our previous apartment, my mom frequently had low blood sugar, which made daily activities challenging for everyone at home. We often find ourselves waiting too long for one another to finish in the bathroom, and sometimes accidents happen, leaving us unable to use it when we need to. My sister and I have a strained relationship; neither of us wants the other around. She insists that I wash and rinse water bottles before putting them in the fridge, which feels unreasonable to me. Cora can be quite rude and often rushes me out of the bathroom, fully aware of my bladder issues. When I try to voice my concerns, she threatens to kick me out. These issues have persisted for many years, and my mom has become stressed trying to mediate the constant arguments. To leave Jerome's home permanently, I would have to return to stay with my sister and mom. Both Jerome and my sister are toxic and abusive. While I was working, I was advised to reach out to another family member because of the intense conflicts with Cora. I later sought comfort in Jerome, whom I met as an escape from Cora, but he turned out to be a manipulative, toxic older man. I am currently seeking housing assistance or any help I can find, while I work on getting disability benefits, as I haven't had a stable income.

I've struggled with being overly trusting in the past. I didn’t set the strong, godly standards and boundaries I needed for my mind, body, and soul many years ago, which has made it hard for me to be more discerning about what I permit in my life and the environments I choose to be in, even during difficult times. I’m praying for God’s guidance in this area. I refuse to radiate negativity, even when I’m not being treated well. I desperately want to distance myself from this older man. My spirit feels uneasy around someone with a negative energy that mistreats me. I will not allow him to control my body or expect me to be his girlfriend. Please pray that I can find a safe, nurturing shelter or a kind, healed, godly woman to live with. I'm also hoping to secure transportation to get to a safe temporary place to stay. Ideally, I would like to avoid shelters that would take some of my money while I’m staying there, as I would need to trust that I would get my money back upon moving out.

Dear God, I thank you for this day. I pray for all those who have been praying for me. Today, I pray for myself. I feel selfish doing so, but today is the love of my life’s birthday. One year ago we got to make memories together for his special day. I thought we would be able to make more together today, but two weeks after we broke up in August he met someone else. I pray for myself, because I love this man and his children very dearly. I pray for him, as well, because , I believe God put us in each other’s lives for a reason. God kept bringing us back together in different ways. I pray for him, for me, and for his kids. Thank you, God for always listening! May God strengthen the friendship that Steve and I have, especially today on his birthday. May God continue to show signs to both of us, that he has brought us into each other’s lives.
