Joshua was standing at the beginning of a chapter he had never lived before. Moses was gone, the responsibility was now his, and the Promised Land was ahead. God did not tell Joshua that the journey would be easy. He told him to be strong and courageous because God would be with him.
That changes everything. Courage is not the absence of uncertainty. Courage is moving forward while trusting that God is already standing in your tomorrow. You may not know how the situation will work out, where the provision will come from, which door will open, or what your next chapter will look like. But you do not need every answer before taking your next step.
Sometimes the greatest thing standing between you and what is next is not the obstacle itself, but the fear that tells you that you cannot overcome it. God told Joshua to move forward. There was territory ahead that could not be possessed while standing still.
God is saying to you today:
“Be strong and courageous. You have spent enough time wondering whether you are capable of handling what is ahead. I am not asking you to walk into your future alone. I am going with you. Do not allow fear to talk you out of the opportunity, the assignment, the dream, or the next step I have placed before you. There will be challenges, but there will also be grace for those challenges. There will be unknowns, but I already know what is ahead. Stop shrinking because the next level looks bigger than you. It may be bigger than your strength, but it is not bigger than Mine. Take the step. I will be with you wherever you go.”
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, give me courage for everything You are calling me to do. Silence the fear that tells me I cannot move forward and the discouragement that makes me want to quit. Give me wisdom for every decision, strength for every challenge, and faith for every unknown. Help me stop waiting until I feel completely ready and start trusting that You will equip me along the way. Go before me into every opportunity, conversation, decision, and new beginning. I will move forward because I know I am not going alone. You are with me wherever I go. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
