Matthew 6:34 reminds us to live one day at a time. Worry has a way of making us fight tomorrow’s battles before tomorrow even arrives. We start thinking about what could happen, what might go wrong, how the bills will get paid, whether the opportunity will come, or how a difficult situation will work out. But Jesus tells us not to carry tomorrow’s weight today.
God has given you enough grace for this day. Handle what is in front of you and trust Him with what is ahead. You do not have to have every answer today. Some problems you are worrying about may never happen, and others may be solved before you ever reach them. Give God your tomorrow and receive His peace for today.
God is saying to you today,
“Stop worrying about what has not happened yet. I am already in your tomorrow. I know what you will need, and I know how I will provide. Do not allow tomorrow’s possibilities to steal today’s peace. Take this day one step at a time. When tomorrow comes, I will give you the grace and strength you need. Trust Me with what you cannot control. I have you covered.”
Prayer:
Dear God, help me stop worrying about tomorrow and appreciate the gift of today. I give You the situations I cannot control and the questions I cannot answer. Calm my mind and fill my heart with peace. Provide what I need, guide my steps, and help me trust You one day at a time. I place today, tomorrow, and my future in Your hands. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
