Fear has a way of making problems look bigger than they really are. It can make you overthink tomorrow, question your abilities, expect the worst, and hesitate when God is telling you to move forward. But fear is not what God has given you.
God has given you power to face what is in front of you. He has given you love so that fear does not control how you respond to people or situations. And He has given you a sound mind so you can think clearly, pray wisely, and make decisions from faith instead of panic.
You may feel fear, but you do not have to obey it. Courage is not the absence of fear. Sometimes courage is simply saying, “God, I am afraid, but I am still going to trust You.” Stop allowing imaginary outcomes to steal today’s peace. Many of the things you have worried about never happened, and many of the things that did happen, God gave you the strength to overcome.
God is saying to you today:
“Do not let fear talk you out of what I am calling you to do. You are stronger than this moment because I am with you. Stop expecting everything to go wrong. Stop replaying worst-case scenarios in your mind. Walk in the power, peace, wisdom, and courage I have given you. Take the next step even if you cannot see the entire road. I will give you what you need when you need it. Fear does not control your future. Trust Me and keep moving forward.”
Prayer
Dear God, today I refuse to let fear control my thoughts, decisions, or future. Quiet every anxious thought and replace it with Your peace. Give me courage to face what I have been avoiding and wisdom to handle what is in front of me. Protect my mind from negative thinking and remind me that You are with me wherever I go. I choose faith over fear, peace over panic, and trust over worry. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
