God Is Not Finished With You

Sometimes we become discouraged because we look at our lives and see everything that is still unfinished. The dream has not fully happened. The prayer has not completely been answered. You are still growing, still healing, still learning, and still trying to become the person you know God is calling you to be. But Philippians 1:6 reminds us of something powerful: unfinished does not mean abandoned.

Paul’s confidence was not in human perfection. His confidence was in the faithfulness of God. The same God who started the work is faithful to continue the work. You may not be where you want to be yet, but look at how far God has already brought you. There are battles that once controlled you that no longer have the same power. There are things you prayed to survive that are now part of your testimony.

Stop judging yourself in the middle of the process.

God is saying to you today:
“I am not finished with you. Do not mistake your current chapter for your final destination. I am still shaping you, strengthening you, teaching you, and preparing you. Some things are taking longer because I am doing a deeper work than you can see. Give yourself permission to grow without demanding perfection overnight. The mistakes you made did not cancel My purpose. The delays did not erase what I started. The setbacks did not make Me walk away from you. Keep showing up. Keep praying. Keep growing. Keep becoming. What I started in you, I am faithful to continue.”

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for not giving up on me while I am still becoming. Help me stop focusing only on what remains unfinished and recognize how much You have already changed in me. Continue healing what is broken, strengthening what is weak, correcting what needs to change, and developing what You have placed inside me. When progress feels slow, remind me that You are still working. Give me patience with the process and faith for what is ahead. I believe my story is still being written, my growth is still happening, and You are not finished with me yet. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
