Let God Be the Source of Your Wisdom

We live in a world filled with opinions. Everyone has advice about what you should do, where you should go, who you should become, and how you should live. But not every voice deserves to guide your life.

Proverbs 9:10 reminds us that true wisdom begins with God. To fear the Lord is not to live terrified of Him. It means to honor Him, respect His authority, and value what He says above what the world says.

Before making the decision, pray. Before following someone’s advice, ask God for discernment. Before reacting emotionally, seek His wisdom. Sometimes the wisest decision will not be the most popular one, but obedience to God will keep you from places your feelings would have taken you.

God is saying to you today,

“My child, seek Me before you make your next move. You do not need to have every answer because I already know the way ahead. Do not allow pressure, emotions, or other people’s opinions to make your decisions for you. Bring your plans to Me. Ask Me for wisdom. I will help you recognize what is right, what is wrong, what should stay, and what you need to walk away from. Stay close to Me, and I will give you understanding for the road ahead.”

Prayer:

Dear God, give me wisdom for every decision I have to make. Help me honor You with my choices and not be led by pressure, emotions, or the opinions of others. Open my spiritual eyes to recognize what is right and give me discernment when something is not for me. Teach me to seek You first and trust Your direction. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
