Life can become so busy that we spend most of our time chasing what we need and worrying about what we do not have. We think about the bills, the job, the family, the opportunity, the breakthrough, and everything we are trying to accomplish. But Jesus reminds us that our first priority should always be God.
When you put God first, it does not mean you ignore your responsibilities. It means you stop carrying everything as though the outcome depends entirely on you. Pray before you panic. Seek God before making the decision. Ask for His direction before running through a door simply because it opened. Sometimes the blessing is not in doing more, but in making sure God is at the center of what you are already doing.
God is saying to you today:
“Put Me first and trust Me with everything else. You do not have to spend your days worrying about how every need will be met. Bring your plans, finances, family, dreams, and concerns to Me. Let Me guide your steps and give you wisdom for the decisions ahead. Do not become so busy chasing the blessing that you forget the One who provides it. Keep Me first, keep moving forward, and trust Me with what you cannot control.”
Prayer:
Dear God, today I choose to put You first. Before my plans, worries, goals, and desires, I want to seek You. Give me wisdom for every decision and direction for every step. Help me trust You with the things I cannot control or understand. Provide what I need, protect my family, bless the work of my hands, and keep my heart focused on You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
