Put God First and Trust Him With the Rest

Life can become overwhelming when everything feels important at the same time. Bills need attention, responsibilities keep coming, decisions have to be made, and there is always something else competing for your focus. Jesus gives us a simple order for complicated seasons: seek God first. Before you chase the opportunity, seek Him. Before you make the decision, seek Him. Before worry takes over your thoughts, seek Him.

Putting God first does not mean ignoring your responsibilities. It means allowing Him to guide how you handle them. When your priorities are in the right order, you stop living as though everything depends entirely on you. You can work hard, make wise decisions, and pursue your goals while trusting God with the results.

God is saying to you today:
“Put Me first today. Before you worry about what you need, spend time with Me. Before you force a door, ask Me whether it is the right door. Before you chase what everyone else has, remember what I have called you to do. I know what you need. I see the financial concerns, the responsibilities, the unanswered prayers, and the opportunities you are hoping for. You do not have to spend your life running after everything. Seek Me, follow My direction, and be faithful with what I have already placed in your hands. Trust Me with what you cannot control. When I am first, everything else can find its proper place.”

Prayer:
Dear God, today I choose to put You first. Before I worry, let me pray. Before I react, give me wisdom. Before I make decisions, direct my steps. Help me pursue Your will instead of forcing my own plans. Provide for every need, open the right doors, close the wrong ones, and give me discernment to recognize the difference. Keep my heart focused on You as I handle everything this day brings. I trust You with my family, finances, future, opportunities, and unanswered prayers. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
