Verse for Today:
“Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? … If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.” — Galatians 1:10
Devotional:
Jesus lived a perfect life, full of truth, love, and power, yet He was still rejected, misunderstood, and hated by many. That alone reminds us that approval from people is not the measure of your value. You can do everything right, walk in integrity, and still face criticism or rejection. People will project their own pain, opinions, and misunderstandings onto you, but that does not define who you are. Your worth was settled the moment God created you and called you His own. When you anchor your identity in Him, you are no longer shaken by shifting opinions. You do not have to prove yourself to people who have already made up their minds about you. Stay rooted in truth, walk in peace, and let God be your defender.
Prayer:
Dear God, thank You for reminding me that my worth is not found in the opinions of others but in who You say I am. Help me to release the need for approval and to stand confidently in the identity You have given me. Strengthen my heart when I face rejection or misunderstanding, and keep me grounded in Your truth. Teach me to walk in peace, integrity, and confidence, knowing that You see me fully and love me completely. I trust You to defend me and guide me in every situation. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
